These Traditional guitars from Collings seem to keep getting better and better, and this one knocked my socks off. It has that super "fat" treble that you hear about, but with pristine clarity. This thing is just vibrating against your chest. They're really on to something with that satin finish for sure. It plays impeccable. All hyperbole aside, guys - this is a keeper. Comes with original hardshell case (no, not the rare one).
Mahogany back/sides Sitka spruce top 14-fret OM body w/ satin finish Traditional series build/voicing Tortoiseshell binding Bone nut/saddle Waverly tuners Traditional series pre-war scalloped Sitka bracing w/ X-brace Abbreviated soundboard graft (tongue brace) Traditional neck profile 1 3/4" nut, 2 5/16" spacing, 25.5" scale
Cosmetically, this guitar is in very good to excellent condition, with just minor signs of handling. There's a very small indent on the back, but it's difficult to photograph.
