Here we have a very special guitar in the shop from Per Marklund over in Sweden. Per builds pre-war Martin replicas, and I'd say he knows what he's doing. This guitar reminds me of a Borges, Brondel, Dudenbostel - that kind of thing. It has a delightfully glowing warm tone, and it puts a smile on your face immediately - that "yeah, this is it" smile. This one has some awesome specs, and the full spec sheet is available upon request. Comes with original hardshell case.
Madagascar rosewood back/sides Alpine spruce top (moon logged!) w/ aging toner 14-fret OM body Hide glue construction with 5/16" bracing and tone bars Swedish spruce bracing (old fiddle stock) Late 34-39 style neck shape - beefy C shape Bar frets Madagascar rosewood headplate Ebony bridge and fretboard Waverly tuners 1 3/4" nut, 2 3/8" spacing, 25.34" scale
Cosmetically, this guitar is in very good condition. It arrived with some humidity issues, so we let it settle for 4 to 6 months, then reglued some braces and did a neck reset. He also cut a new dalmatian pickguard. It's all good to go now, with plenty of saddle, etc.
