Here we have a kickass Franklin OM from the 80's! I've had several modern Franklins, and all have been utterly fantastic, but this 80's model has some mojo that the newer ones just hadn't developed yet. It's light and snappy, and has that "float out of your lap" quality that we're all looking for. Plays great, with action between 6/64" and 7/64" at the 12th. Also, for what it's worth, I didn't notice the nut was 1 11/16" until I measured for my records - it feels more like 1 23/32" or 1 3/4" in the hand. Comes with what looks to be the original hardshell case.
Mahogany back/sides Sitka spruce top 14-fret OM body Waverly tuners (probably not original) Koa headplate Ebony bridge and fretboard Tortoiseshell binding 1 11/16" nut, 2 11/32" spacing, 25 1/4" scale
Cosmetically, this guitar is in good to very good condition for the age. There are lots of polish swirls and light finish scratches, and a few small smudges or marks here and there. Nothing that really stands out though. Also a few areas of "hazy" finish that may be overspray from finish repairs over the years, pic included.
