Here's an absolutely kick-butt guitar from SCGC. I've played a few of these 1934's over the years, and they are just sublime. This one is light as a feather, and it has that blooming, instant room-filling sound, with a hint of dry sparkle from the mahogany/Adirondack combo. Plays great, and handles flat picking with ease. Comes with original hardshell case.
Old growth mahogany back/sides Adirondack spruce top 14-fret dreadnought body Hot hide glue construction Waverly tuners Ebony bridge and fretboard Brazilian headplate Herringbone top trim and backstrip 1 23/32" nut, 2 3/16" spacing, 25 1/4" scale
Cosmetically, this guitar is in very good condition. The bridge got a little hot and pulled up, so my tech reglued it back down, and it looks great. The forward movement did cause a finish chip in front of the bridge, and he was able to reglue the chip, and about 75% of it "disappeared" when he did so. However you can still see the outlines of the chip - pictured. There are absolutely no other signs of heat - it was thoroughly inspected. Setup is healthy, neck geometry is good, etc. Otherwise just minor signs of handling.
