Here we have a well-loved D-28 from 68 years ago. This one feels like it's already been with you for every one of those 68 years. You strum one chord, and you just start smiling. I couldn't help but add a little gratuitous noodling to the end of the video demo. The mojo, vibe, presence - whatever you want to call it - is just dripping from this thing. It just feels so damn comfortable. The sound is that perfect sparkling crispness, with a bit of darkness and growl. The action is sitting right at 8/64" and was put there for flat picking. There's plenty of saddle remaining should you want to lower it. Comes with what looks like the original case.
Here's the "rundown" on provenance. It's all-original other than a new bridge. Top has some cracks that were glued, and have been stable for a long time. A neck reset, along with the replaced bridge, were done by Ritchie Dotson in Richmond, VA. Neck angle is perfect - a straightedge lands exactly at the top edge of the bridge. There is some fret wear - I'd say they're at about 30 or 40% life remaining, but they aren't causing any playability issues yet.

Cosmetically, this guitar has been played a lot. There are dings, scrapes, scuffs, dents, and checking throughout. The pics should give you a pretty good idea of condition.
